The Philippines is Collaborating with Indian IT Firms in the Name of Outsourcing

According to Muzi dot com the Philippines and India is working together. Officials of India's National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) signed an agreement to cooperate in order to increase the outsourcing business in both countries. The Agreement was signed together with Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPA-P) in Manila.
According to NASSCOM President Kiran Karnik India and the Philippines have 10 percent of the world's outsourcing market.

"The focus is how do we increase this to 20 or 30 percent and grow the potential for outsourcing no matter to which country (the business)" Kiran Karnik said.
While President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo said " Our country is now identified as the second most preferred location for (business process outsourcing) operations in the world, next only to India."

With all these the Philippines and India could expect an upward growth in the outsourcing business, which means more call centers and more jobs for Filipinos.
