I want to have my own hotel reservation site

I want to own a hotel reservation site. I've always wanted to build a site with a lot of online calculators and free stuff that I could give away to my website visitors. If only I had the time to study programming I would probably have my own site which computes the cost of air fair, car rental, and hotel reservation. I guess your getting the picture right? I would like to have my own travel or hotel reservations website in the future. I tried getting in to an affiliate program about hotel reservations before but I can’t seem to sell the company’s services the way I could sell with other programs. That’s why I am better off just blogging about stuff I experienced, business, Podcasting, and other stuff I am interested in.

Going back to the hotel and reservation business / website, I found a great model website that gave me a good idea on what to do if ever I pursue that path. It’s hotel reservations dot com. It has easy to use calculators for the on the go traveler, you could book a flight, make hotel reservations, and ask for car rental in one click. What makes it a good website is that it answers all the needs and probable questions of its clients.

The hotel and travel industry being a multi million industry is probably one of the most profitable business whether online or of line. Imagine this, what if a travel agency or a part-time travel agent uses the site, he could get big hotel discounts right off the site and could sell it to his clients without any sweat, he could simply go on the site and use it as sales tool to sell travel, and reservation. It also has a toll free number on it so if he has some questions about a certain package he could get professional help right from the site.

Now what if a regular customer or traveler uses the site, he / she would definitely get a lot more discounts because there will be no middle man. It would be cool if I had my own hotel reservation site because I would have all the income to myself whether or not the sale comes directly from the customer.
