Bloggers beware when uploading videos – it may make you famous!
I uploaded three harmless videos on YouTube of a lady friend three months ago. These videos were a sort of interviews and were very candid and harmless we had fun while recording it, the video had word tags on them that probably made the videos famous. These are some of the tags – dating, confessions, and sexy. These tags made it to the top of the website and it made her somewhat famous.
The videos were much viewed on YouTube, each video at least had 3 to 4 thousand views each and these videos all had my URLs as a by line. I'm pretty sure some hits to my site came from these videos. However my lady friend did not like the idea and she wanted to have them deleted so that's what I did. I delete all 3 videos. The reason why she wants these videos deleted is that someone had approached her, the person knew her name and said he saw her on YouTube. My lady friend had no prior knowledge that these videos were uploaded to YouTube that's why she asked me to delete them. I was so embarrassed for what had happened.
So if you have to upload something on the internet be cautious. There is one lesson that I learned I have to ask for permission first before I upload home made videos to avoid inconvenience, and next time I would have to record it on video that it is ok to upload the video on the internet to avoid any complications.
