All sorts of things might happen if people know exactly what you're worth.
These are some possible scenarios:
- People will demand more from you
- Ask for your money
- Borrow money from you
- Ask that you teach them your secrets
- Steal your stuff
- Steal your ideas
- People will get envious
- Use you for their own good
- and a host of other things that you probably haven't thought of
I learned something new this past few days, and that is, not to give away everything about you. Your ideas, the amount of money in your bank account and your potential earnings.
This is the very reason why the payslip is confidential.
If people know what you're really worth they will get envious and might just do one of the above things to you.
So don't tell anyone what you are really worth, not even your closest relatives, and learn to SHUT UP.
